                                  XMAS RURAL EXCHANGE 2017

Introduction

Nature is beautiful and is worth exploring indeed, these beautiful gifts are still in their natural state especially in most rural areas where live waterfalls, food, culture ,birds, animals, weather conditions, water bodies remain intact. This cannot be said to abound in the most urban communities due to the depletion and clearing of space for industrial development. Again the lives and living condition is so modernized to the extent that the mixtures of foreign culture have taken a more center stage.

There is the need to get back to our roots and appreciate the true past, present and future counts. This is where the rural exchange program seeks to re-in force and project.

To this end united development aid foundation, community and family aid foundation, act for change and friends of the USA will exchange yet again another branded exciting encounter dubbed “the x’mas rural exchange 2017 to visit the most rural part of Ghana.it will be a one to two week long encounter where participant will be exposed to rural life culminated with daily fun and learning activities between both the organizers and the immediate community folks.

OBJECTIVE

-To share the joy of x’mas with rural folks in Ghana, learn; spur adventure, foster rural urban development

 

-Adopt one rural community, fundraise, sponsor needy children, and undertake a specific development project of the community in the areas of education. Water and sanitation, and provision of ICT facilities to bridge the digital divide.

 

- Create USA-GHANA Rural Sisters cities program to deepen the tire of both countries

Participants

 

This year’s 2017 encounter is expected to attract participants from both Ghana and abroad such as the USA, GERMANY, CANADA, BELGIUM, UK, SOUTH AFRICA, ETHIOPIA, NETHERLANDS ETC.

 

ACTIVTIES

This year’s 2017 X’MAS RURAL EXHANGE promises to host a series of fun activities, whereas individual participants will be expected to include programs or skills for sharing

These include but not limited to;

 

1) Visit to traditional authorities

2) Visit to tourist site in the community

3) Training young people on dream hunting

 and other income

generating ventures

4) Hosting of cultural movie night

5) Visit to the local markets

6) Farm field school (for all the participants)

7) Donation of items to host community and needy homes

8) Hosting of x’mas party (cooking and sharing –the father      Christmas family table) participants cook and share meals of  their respective countries and community

9) Xmas 2017 games day (a whole community activities to        display traditional and modern games at the community  park)

 

 

COST OF HOSTING AND PARTICIPATION

The rural exchange comes with no cost to participants yet financial contributions for running the program is accrued from the donations and support of our participants. Thus, a whopping $1000.00 and more at the participant’s digression will be appreciated.

Most participation is not able to pay yet we make sure no one is left behind thus, try as much as possible to get everyone sponsored locally here to participate.

What you enjoy as part of the rural package include but not limited to

-free accommodation in the community

-free food throughout (participants help in the preparation of the food-based on the daily menu list)

-free transportation to and fro

-free community participation in all community and exchange programs e

We welcome donation such as slightly used clothing, shoes, gadgets, equipment and other interesting products to stock our food ,furniture, clothing banks, as all these are distributed during the rural exchange to needy homes and families etc.

You are free to adopt either a village/home or children to sponsored from time to time after the exchange (as management will get in touch with you to get the support for transfer to you adopted villages and families) ,you will stool in the cause of time as (INKOSUO QUEEN OR KING)-DEVELOPMENT CHIEF OR QUEEN “ as your permanent title as a mark of your deeper connections and contribution to the development of your adopted community in Ghana and in the region the rural exchange will take place.
